UK business

Our UK-facing operation has two main trading businesses:

UK Corporate

UK Corporate markets products and services to corporate clients. Its main focus is group pensions but it has a growing involvement in corporate protection schemes. Distribution is predominantly via Employee Benefit Consultants and Consulting Actuaries.

UK Individual

UK Individual markets products and services to individuals, primarily through independent financial advisers or distribution agreements. UK Individual’s main focus is protection plans for individual customers, although it also markets individual pensions, savings and investment plans, and annuities.

The UK's largest appointed representative network, wholly owned by Friends Provident.

 

International business

The international dimension of the Friends Provident Group comprises two complementary businesses:

Friends Provident International

Friends Provident International has offices in the Isle of Man, Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore. It markets predominantly savings plans but is increasingly diversifying into pensions and protection plans. Distribution is focused on the four key regions of Asia, the Middle East, Continental Europe and the UK, and is primarily via specialist independent financial advisers and strategic partnerships.

We also have a 30% stake in a relatively new Malaysian life assurance company AmLife.

Lombard

Lombard is a pan-European company specialising in providing life assurance-based tax and estate planning solutions for high and ultra-high net worth individuals. Wholly owned by Friends Provident, it is based in Luxembourg, with a branch office in Switzerland. Distribution is predominantly focused on Europe via strong relationships with a select number of private banks and specialist advisors, including leading global institutions.
